Please take the new 1.5L turbo, a 6 speed manual, and a Honda Fit and leave it all in a room for a hour.
WHERE IS THE FIT SI?!?!

Honda also really, REALLY, hates combining a manual transmission with leather. It really pisses them off for some reason :(

I 100% agree!!! The fit is my favorite Honda, all the others have gotten too big over the years.
Actually I saw just two days ago a first gen Fit Sport in blackberry pearl with the windows tinted and I was honestly amazed with just how gorgeous of a color it really is.

That would really be the perfect car to use as a daily and get rid of car payments for good. I’ve been thinking of getting a $6000-$7000 fit as a daily. This would be the ideal one.

Yes. I’ve been wanting a Fit Si for years. The only thing I could come up with, and the reason they haven't done it, is no one would buy the Civic Si. Or, maybe they didn't want a large price overlap between where the Fit ends and the Civic begins?

$6-7k would get you a MINT first gen Fit. I got a 2008 Fit Sport last year with 140,000 kms on it for under $4700. It is an awesome daily and I can pack in more stuff than I ever could have imagined. Not a spot of rust either. It’s slow as hell but the little 1.5 loves to buzz and has yet to let me down.

$4700 is even better! is was even considering a 2nd gen so I could get like a 2011-2012 for 6-7k

Oh what I would give to be able to put a turbo on one of these.

How are these? Could be a funky, cheap car if had with a 5 speed.

Would love to see this happen too. Ever since ive seen that Spoon Fit go crazy in Best Motoring videos, Ive had a soft spot for it.
In the real world however, I dont see this work. The Fit is completely the opposite of what youre describing. Its just an A-to-B car and their target group are exactly people who need just that. If they want something sportier, there’s the Civic/CR-Z.

don’t know I’ve never driven one. but all the reviews seem pretty positive.

You nailed it sir. I own a Fit and it does everything so well. I just got done slicing up the Freeways getting lunch for my boss. Clearly the best Honda, and possibly one of the best cars being made today, all cars included.

Yes please. It would be like a FiST with interior space.
It would also lead to ‘FiST vs FitSI’ comparison test magazine covers, which would be hilarious.

Yeah but then you go to sell your car and everyone’s all “I’d really prefer seats nobody has had sex with, thanks.”
